Our Wedding

As most of our friends and family know, we met a month into Covid...had a weekend full of dates, laid it allllllll out on the line and have been together ever since! Our first date was sushi accompanied by a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and about six hours of conversation. Looking back, the Covid "lockdown" was a blessing for us as we were forced to slow down and were able to spend time together while the world was shut down. We have been on a ton of adventures together, have navigated ups and downs, learned to be patient together, to accept each other as we are and together have become better versions of ourselves and together a better couple. We were engaged in our home on Christmas Eve of 2022. Kristin was completely taken by surprise and the engagement was made even more special because her immediate family was also there...a couple of them may have even choked up... the men... ;) We are excited to FINALLY celebrate with close friends and family! Following our wedding, we will be headed to Maui for a 9-day honeymoon! Neither of us have ever been to Hawaii ... to say that we are excited would be an understatement!!

We each chose our lifelong, since birth best friends to stand with us. Kristin will have her "bestie" since birth, Dara Vargas Hazen and Sean will have his "bestie" since birth, Chris Convers. Kristin was Dara's maid of honor 27 years ago! Their moms were best friends since grade school. Sean and Chris's dads were also best friends and logged together for several summers at Dinkey Creek when the guys were just babies!

Turlock has several wonderful VRBO and AirBNB options...especially in the Turlock High School/Downtown neighborhood. There are also some really nice hotels right off Highway 99 in Turlock--all conveniently located close to restaurants, shopping and things to do!

Turlock has a thriving downtown! There are multiple restaurants and bars just on Main Street! For dinner, our favorites are First &amp; Main, Center Street Grill, Memo's Cocina, El Charro and La Morenita! Cuts and Bistro 234 offer wonderful fine dining options as well amazing wine lists and craft cocktails! For breakfast, lunch and brunch check out La Mo, Main Street Footers, Latif's or Commonwealth! Also, worth checking out is Dust Bowl Brewing--close to 99 on Fulkerth. Friday, October 31st is THS' Homecoming so Turlock will be bustling with Blue and Gold spirit! For our twenty-something guests, The Udder Place is a fun bar always hopping and also hosts live country bands on the weekends! If you need a coffee fix, Turlock is home to TEN Starbucks and two Dutch Bros. There is also a coffee bar/cafe at The Atrium on Colorado, Rise and Brew--also on Colorado and if you're willing to drive 5 minutes to Denair, we love our friends at The Coffee House!

One of our favorite places for Sunday breakfast is Latif's by Pedretti! If you are a Turlock native, then you know and if you aren't then you are in for a treat! Nick Pedretti has graciously offered to provide a Breakfast Buffet at 10am on Sunday! All-you-can-eat and drink (non-alcoholic) for $20/person including tax and tip. The buffet will be located in their upstairs banquet room! If you are going to go, you won't be sorry! And, Kristin will recommend one of Travis' famous Bloody Marys... all day, every day!
